At AquaTek, we believe the correct undersuit is just as important to
your comfort and health as the actual drysuit itself.Care should be exercised
in the selection of under-garments to be worn under the drysuit. Street
clothing, particularly when worn in conjunction with a membrane suit,
will usually fail to deliver the requisite degree of thermal protection.
Also zips, buckles and, for example, metal rivets used on jeans, may cause
damage that affects the suit's watertight integrity.
AquaTek manufacturers undersuits that are carefully and specifically
designed for dry suit use and made of a material that is both capable
of retaining body warmth and has poor absorption qualities. Small amounts
of water that might enter the suit via the neck or wrist seals and soak
through the undergarments will otherwise accelerate heat loss from the
diver's body. Our garments are designed tobe comfortable and allow flexible
movement, whilst maintaining practicality.
